Windows Mobile Device Center in Windows 10

Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC), formerly ActiveSync, will no longer function by default in the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system (Version 1709 or newer). Follow these WMDC Fix Instructions to get (WMDC) to run and connect to your HC-100.

Files needed:

Bluetooth Port Clean App for HC-100

Sometimes user will see “No COM ports are available for Bluetooth pairing” because COM ports were not released when previous Bluetooth pairings were deleted on the device.

In that case, user needs to run the BT Clean app on the HC-100 to remove all COM port assignments and Bluetooth pairings.

If BT Clean is not on your Wachs HC-100, then there are two ways to install the BT Clean Utility:

  • Download BT_Clean.CAB to the HC100, then click it to install.
  • Unzip BT_Clean_Install.zip to a folder in computer, connect HC100 to computer using Windows Mobile Device Center, click InstallBTClean.exe to run and install.

VITALS

VITALS Software (Valve Information Tracking and Logging System) enables an operator to:

  • Exercise valves
  • Record critical valve information
  • Store valve physical location via GPS
  • Synchronize this information between the TC-100 handheld controller and your desktop database

Custom valve ID information is recorded such as the number of turns, maximum torque, and valve location while exercising the valve when used with E.H. Wachs ERV-750 or TM-7 to manage valve performance and prevent costly repairs.

Installation

Install Vitals Desktop to your PC by running the latest setup file below. Vitals Mobile comes pre-installed on TC-100 controller. Vitals Mobile updates are available from the About screen in the Vitals Mobile app (internet connection required). Vitals Desktop automatically checks for updates on startup but can also check by clicking the Update button on the main Menu.

Important

The HC-100 controller requires Vitals Desktop 3.4.2 or later. Data transfer with older versions will cause data loss. Install Vitals 3.4.2 or later from the setup files below.
